#365DaysOfLearning – Week 48

by | Apr 10, 2021 | #365DaysofLearning, Blog

On Tuesday, May 12th, I started a new journey…365 days of Learning! I am going to put out a weekly summary of the things that I learned that week. All of these posts have occurred on my LinkedIn. Would love to connect with you there as well!

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 328, April 4, 2021

Today brings so much to be thankful for, and so much to be hopeful for!

Today I learned about coloring eggs with toddlers and all-day egg hunts and coming into Monday on 2 wheels, grateful for a fun weekend with my family and friends!

I pray your day was filled with love and laughs and some solid Easter candy (please don’t tell me you had peeps). 😂

Happy Easter, friends! ❤️

Happy Easter

Uncertainty. The unknown. Stress.

Uncertainty can be scary. Uncertainty can be exciting. How do you see it?

I have been working through a Bob Goff study and came across this line. As I think back through my story, there are so many times there have been big (and small) unknowns that have lead to big moments in my life.

Embracing it.

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 330, April 6, 2021

Do you wake up and still feel exhausted?

Somedays, that’s me. Come to find out, just because we sleep doesn’t mean we are rested. 💡

I enjoyed Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith’s TED talk, where she shared the 7 types of rest needed to optimize our productivity and increase our overall happiness.

😴 Physical Rest
📝 Mental Rest
💻 Sensory Rest
🌳 Creative Rest
✨ Emotional Rest
💁🏻‍♀️ Social Rest
🙏 Spiritual Rest

Dr. Saundra shared several helpful ways you can improve your rest – see the article in the comments!

What kind of rest are you craving today?

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 331, April 7, 2021

PURPOSE is such a big topic.

It leads to so many fascinating conversations!

So today I am learning through some research. Please answer the question with the answer that comes to mind right away. Thank you!!

🌱And I would love to hear about your thoughts on purpose! If you know your purpose, please share with us what it is!

Are you living your purpose?

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 332, April 8, 2021

“What amplifies courage is the way you think about yourself behind closed doors.” – Shanda Sumpter

The way you feel about yourself matters. Everyone of us have an identity that we want to grow into, and if we let shame get in the way of what we want to do, it is going to significantly slow down our progress.

So lay the shame down. Step over it. And go do that “thing” that you have been holding back on.

Thanks for the #inspiration today, Shanda. ❤

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 333, April 9, 2021

How do you go further, faster in your business or life?

Yesterday I posted a learning from Shanda Sumpter. She was teaching on this very subject, and I have been giving it a lot of thought.

Her 2 quick tips were:
-Build your well before you are thirsty.
-Take your online relationships offline.

But the biggest tip? It came from this question she was just asked on a podcast.

❓ Shanda, if there was anything you felt moved the needle the most (so you would have a good life), what would it be? ❓

Her response was, “You have to think about where in your life, right now, you have the most SHAME. When the shame is in the darkness, you feel unworthy. That shame needs to be exposed, because if you can expose it into the light, it has no more power over you.”

Powerful!

What is your best tip for going further, faster?? 🤔

#365DaysOfLearning – Day 334, April 10, 2021

One thing I have found challenging in my #365DaysOfLearning journey has been to QUICKLY turn the learning into a LinkedIn post!

So, when I ran across an article called “How to Conquer the Speed Bumps Slowing Down Your Writing,” it piqued my interest!

Author Ellen McRae shared her #1 tip for increasing your writing speed…

✍ “Write like no one is editing.” ✍

What does that mean? Don’t stop to critique, fix your spelling mistakes, look at your word count, filter out something, etc. Just keep writing.

Leave the editing for the end. This will take me some practice! I already broke the rule while typing up this post. 😅

What is your top tip for getting the words to the (virtual) paper quickly?
